Prognostic factors in choriocarcinoma
• Age / Parity -
worse if > 39 years and > Para 4
• Antecedent pregnancy -
worse after full term pregnancy / spontaneous miscarriage, better after known molar pregnancy
• Interval between pregnancy and chemotherapy -
better if < 4 months, worse if > 12 months
• Blood group -
better in blood groups O and A, worse in blood groups B and AB
• HCG levels -
better if < 100,000IU, worse if > 100,000IU
• Presence of metastases -
better if none, worse if brain, better if 1-3 metastases, worse if >3 metastases
• Largest tumour mass -
better if <3cm, worse if >5cm
