Myasthenia gravis

• Occular weakness with double vision is typical presentation. 

Difficulties with chewing or talking also occur.
• Risk of post-partum exacerbation


• Smooth muscle not affected therefore first stage of labour not altered.

• Patients are particularly sensitive to neuromuscular drugs and anaesthetic review is recommended. 


- Epidural is recommended.
