Investigations in suspected DVT

- Base-line assessment before anti-coagulation: 

1. FBC, 
2. U&E, 
3. LFT, 
4. clotting screen. 

 
- Routine thrombophilia screen is not recommended. 
 
- Renal and liver function will influence dose of anti-coagulant
