Gestational trophoblastic neoplasia

If HCG levels are normal within 8 weeks of the pregnancy event, then the follow-up will be for 6 months from the date of uterine evacuation
If HCG levels have not returned to normal within 8 weeks of the pregnancy event, then the follow-up will be for 6 months from normalisation of HCG

Women should notify the registration centre at the end of any future pregnancy and HCG levels will be measured 6-8 weeks after the end of the pregnancy to exclude recurrence

Women should be advised not to conceive until follow-up is complete

Women undergoing chemotherapy are advised not to conceive for 1 year after completion of treatment
