Antiphospholipid antibody syndrome
• Primary antiphospholipid syndrome is the association between
anti-phospholipid antibodies and adverse pregnancy outcome or vascular
thrombosis
• Adverse pregnancy outcomes include :
- 3 or more consecutive miscarriages
before 10 weeks,
- one or more morphologically normal fetal death after 10
weeks or
- one or more pre-term deliveries before 34 weeks due to
pre-eclampsia or IUGR
