Salpingectomy Vs salpingotomy in ectopic pregnancy

   - If both tubes present -  there does not appear to be a difference in subsequent intra-uterine pregnancy  
      rate (46 v 44%)

  - Recurrent ectopic pregnancy rate appears to be higher after salpingotomy although data are conflicting

  - Risk of persistent trophoblastic tissue is higher after salpingotomy
