Ectopic pregnancy - Advice to women during medical Mx

Women should be advised to :

1. Avoid sexual intercourse during treatment, 

2. Maintain ample fluid intake and 

3. Use reliable contraception for 3 months after treatment because of the possible teratogenic effects of methotrexate
