Choriocarcinoma - statistics

• Overall 5 year survival ~95%

• Approximately 90% of patients who want to become pregnant following chemotherapy have succeeded and there is no evidence of increase in foetal abnormalities.

• 50% of patients have had a preceding molar pregnancy; 
  25% of cases follow a spontaneous or induced abortion; and 
  25% of cases follow a normal or an ectopic pregnancy
