CMV infection in pregnancy
It is the most common congenitally acquired infection in infants.
- Microcephaly
- Ascites
- Hydrops fetalis
- Oligo or polyhydramnios
- Hepatomegaly
- Pseudomeconium ileus
- Hydrocephalus (ventricular dilation)
- Intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR)
- Pleural or pericardial effusions
- Intracranial calcification
- Abdominal calcification
